A farmer has been seriously injured after falling 40m at a disused quarry while tending to his livestock.
He is in a stable condition in hospital with serious injuries after the fall at the quarry near Penygroes.
Mountain Rescue, along with the Welsh Ambulance Service, EMRTS Wales and North Wales Cave Rescue, recovered the casualty following a search effort mounted by family and friends.
The callout was made at 4.32pm on Saturday, November 14, with three vehicles and 15 personnel attending the scene altogether.
A team doctor was lowered into the quarry and found the farmer lying on the floor unable to move.
He had suffered multiple injuries to his head and legs.
The casualty was then placed on a stretcher which was pulled out of the quarry using a rope rescue system.
He was initially taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd, but is now receiving treatment at the Major Trauma Centre at Stoke Hospital.
