Farhad Moshiri receives supporter messages at Runcorn station as Everton chief arrives for Marco Silva talks

Everton owner Farhad Moshiri was given a strong message from a fan as he stepped out of Runcorn railway station en route to Finch Farm.

Mr Moshiri, who has already sacked three previous managers since taking control of the club in 2016, had travelled up to Merseyside by train from London for crunch talks with Marco Silva over the Blues boss' future.

The Portuguese coach's 18-month reign in the Goodison Park dugout is expected to end following last night's 5-2 defeat to Liverpool , their eighth defeat in their last 11 Premier League games, a result that leaves his expensively-assembled squad, tipped to challenge for a European place at the start of the season, in the relegation zone.

In a video published on social media, Moshiri is shouted at he leaves Runcorn station.

As Mr Moshiri passed through the station's exit doors flanked by members of the club's security team and another aide carrying a briefcase before making his way to a waiting Mercedes-Benz to whisk him to the Blues' nearby Halewood training base, a supporter was filmed telling him: “He's got to go Moshiri, he's got to go.

“He's definitely got to go. Not good enough for our club. Not good enough for our club.”
