'Farce' - Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham fans rage at Man United decision vs Crystal Palace

Rival supporters have taken to social media to complain after Crystal Palace were not given a penalty during their 2-0 defeat against Manchester United.

Towards the end of the first half at Selhurst Park, Palace winger Wilfried Zaha picked up the ball and dribbled into the United box where he was tackled by Victor Lindelof.

The Swedish centre-back appeared to clip the back of Zaha's leg before getting a slight touch on the ball, but the referee waved away the Palace winger's protests.

The decision was upheld despite a quick check from the video assistant referee, much to the disgust of the Palace players.

Frank Lampard on 1-0 win against Norwich: Job done

Manchester United's win against Roy Hodgson's side is crucial in the race for Champions League qualification, as it takes them level with points with fourth placed Leicester City, after the Foxes beat Sheffield United 2-0 on Thursday evening.

A victory also cranks up the pressure on Chelsea, who currently sit third in the table after their 1-0 win against Norwich on Tuesday.

Supporters of rival clubs would have been hoping to see Palace win a penalty and give themselves an excellent opportunity of scoring against United in the first half.

However, the decision to deem Lindelof's challenge as a fair one was met with anger on social media.

One fan wrote: "Just bin VAR Please!!!! That should have been a penalty on Zaha."

Another posted: "How on earth did Zaha not get a penalty? It wouldn’t be a Premier League game if the referee or VAR didn’t make at least one shockingly bad decision."

Marcus Rashford gave United a 1-0 lead at half-time after slotting past Vicente Guaita, before a Jordan Ayew goal early in the second half was ruled out for offside after a VAR review.

Anthony Martial then sealed the three points for United, after good from Bruno Fernandes and Rashford.
