How close can you get without touching? Five Feet Apart gives a moving portrayal of a pair of young teens who refuse to let their potentially fatal condition get in the way of life and love. Stella Grant (Haley Lu Richardson) is a cystic fibrosis patient. At the hospital, CF patients are kept six feet (1.8 metres) away from each other at all times to reduce the risk of cross-infection. But then Stella meets Will Newman (Cole Sprouse), a fellow CF patient who likes to break rules and take risks. Despite her better judgement, Stella finds herself drawn to him. As the two get closer, they decide that some rules are worth breaking, if it's for that once-in-a-lifetime shot at true love.
