Farah Khan’s debut directorial, ‘Main Hoon Na’ is undoubtedly one of the most loved films we have in Bollywood. The film starred Shah Rukh Khan, Sushmita Sen, Amrita Rao and Zayed Khan.
However, not many know that the film even featured Tabu in one of the scenes for 0.2 seconds. Yes, you read that right! She had a tiny cameo in the film that many could not catch.
A tweet was shared on Twitter with a picture of Tabu and Shah Rukh from the film. It read, ‘Still trying to figure out why Tabu agreed to do this .2 second cameo in Main Hoon Na.’
Replying to the tweet, Farah revealed, ‘Arre she was in Darjeeling for some other shoot and came to visit me on my set. And I literally put her in this shot. Without makeup and in her personal clothes.”
In one of her earlier interviews with a news portal, Farah had revealed that for ‘Main Hoon Na’, she struggled a lot to make her first movie even though Shah Rukh was her best friend and she had access to him. Still, he didn’t give everything to her on a silver platter. SRK made her work for it and he made her wait for three years.
Further, she told Bollywood Hungama that in hindsight, she feels it was good as she was not ready. However, she would end up with angst in her heart. She would ask herself, ‘Why am I not making a film?’ The filmmaker also feels like her habit of giving gaalis on the mic, she must have learnt during those three years.
‘Main Hoon Na’ released in 2004 and also featured Suniel Shetty and Kirron Kher in key roles.
