Farah Khan feels 'Om Shanti Om' should have won every award for dialogues

Farah Khan recently opened up about her film, ‘Om Shanti Om’ completing 15 glorious years. According to her, the film should have won every award for dialogue because they have become a cult.

In an interview with a news portal, the filmmaker said that she expected the film to win every award for dialogues but that didn’t happen. According to her, all the dialogues of the film have become cult. People use the dialogues in everyday life, right from ‘Picture abhi baaki hai’, ‘Ek chutki sindoor’ to ‘Itni shiddat’.

Although the film has completed 15 glorious years, Farah feels like they just made it last year because the memories are so fresh. The director revealed that they all had a blast making that movie. According to her, one of the most important memories was that it was Deepika’s launch when she was completely raw and new. While she is confident and poised now, she was like a lost lamb then, Farah told Hindustan Times.

Farah also recalled being told that reincarnation movies don’t work, barring ‘Karan Arjun’. People were questioning her for casting a new girl. However, she was very sure that this movie was going to be entertaining. She added that they had so many cameos, and all seemed organic instead of forced.

‘Om Shanti Om’ starred Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. It also featured actors like Arjun Rampal, Kirron Kher, Shreyas Talpade and others in key roles.
