- Nigel Farage declared he has drawn "amazing inspiration" from Donald Trump's Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement.
- Speaking at a GB News event in Washington, the Reform UK leader and Clacton MP reiterated his consistent support for Mr Trump, saying it had “never wavered”.
- During his trip to Washington DC, Mr Farage met Mr Trump in the Oval Office and gave evidence to a congressional committee on free speech in the UK.
- At the hearing, Mr Farage likened the UK to North Korea and was subsequently dubbed a "Putin-loving free speech impostor and Trump sycophant" by Democrat representative Jamie Raskin.
- Mr Farage also discussed GB News's expansion into the US, which will feature a nightly show from Washington aimed at changing perceptions of Trump.
