Far right activist Graham Carey due in court after protest video

Far right activist Graham Carey has been charged under the Offences Against the State Act and is due in court this morning.

The 39-year-old was arrested at his Finglas home on Wednesday morning by members of the Special Detective Unit within the Gardai. It is understood the arrest followed a lengthy investigation.

In a video shared widely online, Mr Carey claimed anti-refugee protestors would "go through" Finglas Garda Station on Wednesday night. He is considered a leading voice in the anti-immigrant protests that have sprung up around the city.
