'FAO Alex Neil' - Nottingham Forest fans react to Nicholas Ioannou signing

Nottingham Forest have finally completed a deal for left-back Nicholas Ioannou ending what has been a long pursuit of the left-back.

The Cyprus international has moved to the City Ground from Apoel for an undisclosed fee although reports have claimed it will cost the Reds up to 750,000 Euros.

His arrival ends months of speculation about the defender's future after he was first linked with the Reds back in July.

Ioannou, who has signed a four-year deal, will not be available for the Reds' clash against Huddersfield tonight.

But the fans have been having their say on the former Manchester United defender's arrival and we took to Twitter to see what they made of their latest capture.

And one fan was quick to reference Preston boss Alex Neil after his comments about the Reds' transfer business yesterday.

Jay: "He’s buzzing look at that smile."

Brayden: "Decent signing."

Jake: "Good signing."

Debs: "Now get that winger in and the job is complete."

Jason: "For the attention of Alex Neil."

Will: "Just to add, this lad has pace and will provide us more attacking threat down the left."

FTID: "Now this is a good signing. If you think he has given up playing champions league football on a regular occasion to just come here to be a squad player you are mistaken. I rate Yuri a lot but he, from what I have seen is an upgrade."

Treecy: "Our squad is becoming slightly good."

Forest Fan Base: "Welcome to Forest Nick! Apologies in advance for the over crowded changing room!"
