Fantasy starter picks in Cardinals vs. Rams Week 10

Both sitting at three wins on the season, the Los Angeles Rams and Arizona Cardinals are major disappointments from each of their ceilings last season. Prior to injury, the Cardinals were the best team in the NFL. The Rams, of course, went on to win the Super Bowl.

While both teams aren’t mathematically eliminated yet, this is definitely a must-win for both of these squads to have any hope.

It may not be as exciting as these two teams’ matchups last season, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still get some fantasy football wins from this game. We’ve got three picks for stream and flex starts to help you win a pivotal Week 10.

Cardinals Defense

Jeffrey Becker-USA TODAY Sports

This has been a flex pick a few times this season given the surprisingly good Cardinals defense that is available in most fantasy leagues.

The Rams are expected to start quarterback John Wolford for Sunday’s game, as Matthew Stafford isn’t likely to clear concussion protocol in time. While Cardinals fans all remember losing to Wolford to not make the postseason in 2020, he is still an obvious downgrade from Stafford.

In Week 3, the Cardinals help the Rams to just 20 points and dominated most of the game. If they can replicate any of that performance against a backup quarterback, this is going to be an excellent start in your league.

Cardinals WR Rondale Moore

Moore is quickly ascending after a slow start to the 2022 season.

He missed the first few games with an injury and did not see a ton of targets as he worked his way back into the lineup. In the last few games, however, Moore has been very productive and continues to become a focal point of the offense.

In his last two games, Moore has had 23.4 and 14.9 points. He’s cemented himself as the clear No. 2 receiver behind DeAndre Hopkins, as the struggling Robbie Anderson isn’t taking any targets from anyone.

Moore is a great flex start and a solid player to have available for plug-and-play scenarios the rest of the way.

Rams TE Tyler Higbee

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

Higbee is available in many leagues and is the best flex option at tight end. Many in fantasy football are dealing with injuries to the tight end position, like those with Darren Waller.

Mark Andrews owners are also in need of an option with him being on a bye week, so Higbee makes a ton of sense for many. While his fantasy production hasn’t been great recently, his target number is very encouraging.

He’s had 9+ targets four times this season and could be in for a nice day against a Cardinals defense that struggles against tight ends. They gave up a huge outing to tight end Noah Fant last week and could do the same in Week 10.
