FPL 2025-26: How do you score bonus points in Fantasy Premier League?

Cole Palmer is a prolific points scorer in FPL.

In the Premier League's hugely popular FPL game, your players are receive FPL points for scoring, assisting, getting clean sheets and new for 2025-26, defensive contributions, among other things. But even after the final whistle has blown, your point-earning opportunities aren't done.

FPL awards gives bonus points (BPS) to players, typically earned by those who perform among the best in a match. Did one of your players fail to score or assist but should be rewarded? Fear not. Three points are awarded to the best player in the game, two to the second-best player and one to the third-best player.

BPS are calculated using data supplied by football statisticians Opta. If you need a guide on how to score regular points, we've got one of those, too.
