Fantasy Premier League tips: FPL transfers, deadline today, scout and captain options for double gameweek 29

The Fantasy Premier League gameweeks come thick and fast, with another double coming up this weekend.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham are among the teams with two matches so it is no surprise that players from those three clubs dominate our FPL tips this week.

But there’s also interest in Chelsea’s suddenly free-flowing attack and that of Aston Villa, who are thriving under Steven Gerrard.

Here’s who we think you should consider signing this week…

Aaron Ramsdale | Arsenal | £5.1m

Arsenal’s defence looked slightly shaky at Watford last weekend but a pair of home matches could see Ramsdale back in the points. The second of them does come against Liverpool, but that brings its own chance for save and bonus points.

Tino Livramento | Southampton | £4.4m

An early season favourite, Livramento had a disappointing double game week 28 after hauls in 26 and 27 but can bounce back against a Watford side who look doomed.

Trent Alexander-Arnold | Liverpool | £8.5m

The first of a Liverpool defensive double-up needs no explaining, with Alexander-Arnold having delivered 12 points last weekend no blank since gameweek 23.

Andrew Robertson | Liverpool | £7.2m

The Scot joins his Reds full-back partner on the basis that his FPL form is even better, delivering a whopping 54 points since the start of gameweek 22.

Matt Doherty | Tottenham | £4.7m

Doherty is not a player we’d have been likely to be including in this list a few weeks back but has been reborn under Antonio Conte in recent weeks.

Kai Havertz | Chelsea | £7.8m

Havertz has been given the nod to lead the Chelsea line ahead of Romelu Lukaku and has taken full advantage. The Blues have an enticing run of fixtures between now and the end of the season, albeit with a blank next week.

Bukayo Saka | Arsenal | £6.6m

Saka was in scintillating form with a goal and an assist at Watford last Sunday and can continue to produce in Arsenal’s latest double. There is little rotation risk with the winger between now and the end of the season, with the Gunners’ full focus on a top four finish.

Philippe Coutinho | Aston Villa | £7.4m

Is there a more in-form player in the Premier League right now? The Brazilian racked up 23 points in Aston Villa’s double gameweek with a couple of sensational displays and is to be ignored at your peril.

Mo Salah | Liverpool | £13.2m

As with Alexander-Arnold, there is little explanation needed here about a player who has been a must-have ever since the season began. There’s no reason for that to change now, with Liverpool in action twice.

Heung-min Son | Tottenham | £10.8m

From an attacking perspective, it is Tottenham who have the most enticing double gameweek fixtures, against a shaky Man United defence and a Brighton side who have gone badly off the boil.

Ivan Toney | Brentford | £6.5m

Brentford’s talisman has scored five goals in his last three league starts either side of a calf problem, including last week’s hat-trick at Norwich and he can fire the Bees a step close to safety again as Burnley visit.

Harry Kane | Tottenham | £12.3m

As is the case with Son, Kane looks primed to take advantage of Spurs’ double having looked right back to his best in racking up double-digit hauls in three of his last four matches.

Armando Broja | Southampton | £5.5m

Like Livramento, Broja disappointed in Southampton’s double gameweek, particularly for those who handed him the captain’s armband, but Watford clean sheets have been few and far between.
