Fantasy Premier League (FPL) GW11 tips: Player picks, captain choice and deadline

With the Fantasy Premier League GW11 deadline fast approaching, FPL managers around the world should be making their final touches to their team.

Last week was an overall disappointing GW for most FPL players, with the average points coming in at a low 42 - the second-lowest tally of the 2021/22 season so far.

Liverpool and Man City both dropped points with their key players having minimal involvement, but Chelsea continued to provide defensively, with clean sheets across the board for the seventh time this season.

Now with GW11 looming and some favourable fixtures for some of the highest-scoring players, there are some big opportunities for large point-hauls this weekend.

GW11 commences on Friday, November 5 when Southampton host Aston Villa at 20:00pm BST UK time, meaning the deadline for transfers and selecting your starting XI will be at 18:30pm BST UK time on Friday, November 5.

And in GW11, it could be a week for the underdogs, with many cheaper and differential players entering the GW with the best fixtures.

Here's a list of some FPL tips ahead of GW11 to potentially help you climb those leaderboards and earn some big points.

Never doubt Mohamed Salah (C)

If Salah still isn't in your FPL team 11 weeks in, then maybe Fantasy Premier League isn't the game for you.

The Egyptian has been in a literal league of his own this season, already racking up 112 points in the first 10 GWs. To put into context, the next best player has been Michail Antonio with just 59 points - nearly half of the points collected by Salah so far this season.

Last week, Salah broke the FPL record for the most captained player in a single GW ever with 4.6 million users trusting him with the armband, and it should stay the same when Liverpool face West Ham on Sunday.

Salah has a flawless record against the Hammers, grabbing nine goals and two assists in eight appearances - only blanking once in that time. With the winger currently in the best form of his life, there wouldn't be a better time to captain him.

Bank on Chelsea defenders

Seven clean sheets in 10 games, conceding just three goals in that time. Chelsea's defensive record so far this season has been ridiculous, and with five defenders and a goalkeeper starting each game, there's a player to fit every FPL players budget.

Reece James scored two goals and kept a clean sheet last week as the Blues won 3-0 to go three points clear at the top of the league, whilst his fellow full-back Ben Chilwell has grabbed three goals in his last four games. Thomas Tuchel's set-up is heavily reliant on defenders in the attack, proving FPL managers with big point hauls each week.

Up next for the Blues is Burnely at home, and with Chelsea looking to maintain their spot at the top of the league against the joint third lowest-scoring attack so far, it's set up for almost guaranteed points in GW11.

Brentford can capitalise on Norwich

It's been a torrid start to the Premier League season for Norwich City, with the Canaries looking in real trouble after 10 games.

Daniel Farke's side are yet to win a game this season and sit bottom of the league, and they currently possess the worst combination - being the lowest scorers whilst hosting the leakiest defence, providing guaranteed goals for the opposition almost every week.

Next up for Norwich is a trip to Brentford, and the Bees' have looked a big threat going forward all season, with Ivan Toney and Bryan Mbuemo both due goals.

We recommend getting one of these - or both of possible - into your team for GW11, as we predict that Brentford could be on the verge of a big victory this weekend.

Harry Kane could return big points

Despite Harry Kane and Spurs' poor start to the season, there is the potential for that all to change this weekend with a new manager for the side and a favourable fixture for Kane on the horizon.

Kane has an impeccable record against the Toffee's, with the England striker notching 11 goals in his last 12 games versus Everton - and the striker is long overdue a big point-haul in FPL.

A Spurs side with a new manager bounce against an Everton side who are currently on a three-game losing streak, this fixture could prove to be the perfect platform for Kane's side to claim three points and build on for the rest of the season.

FPL GW11 TOTW

GW11 could be a week for the underdogs, with many cheaper and differential players entering the GW with the best fixtures.

Shane Duffy, Bryan Mbuemo, Che Adams, Leandro Trossard and Ivan Toney could all be solid picks for GW11.

3-4-3: Ramsdale (Arsenal); James (Chelsea), Duffy (Brighton), Rudiger (Chelsea); Salah (Liverpool) (C), Smith-Rowe (Arsenal), Mbuemo (Brentford), Trossard (Brighton); Adams (Southampton), Kane (Spurs), Toney (Brentford).
