Say what you will about the NFL, you can't say there's not enough scoring or close games.
There have been 3,030 points scored through four weeks this season, breaking the previous record of 2,986 points in 2012, according to the NFL. The 344 touchdowns scored are also the most through four games in NFL history, breaking the old mark of 332 set in 2015.
Need anymore proof the NFL has fully transitioned into a passing league, look no further. Of those 344 touchdowns, 288 were touchdown passes. This obliterates the old mark of 205 set in 2013.
It appears parody is alive and well, also.
The average margin of victory this season has been 9.90 points per game. That isn't far off the 1932 record low for a full season of 9.13 points. Plus, the league has had 38 games decided by one score, the most in NFL history through its first month.
Sounds like the perfect recipe for an exciting fantasy football season going forward.
