Fantasy football Week 12 studs, duds and sleepers: CeeDee Lamb will feast on Thanksgiving Day

When it comes to competition, one of the best ways to get an edge on the opposition is through prior preparation. In fantasy football, that way of thinking certainly applies. Here at Bet For The Win, we’re doing the preparation for you.

It’s Thanksgiving week and there are no teams on bye! In this awkward week, six teams will play before the weekend even approaches, so you’ll need to figure out pretty quickly who and who not to play in fantasy football leagues this week.

Have no fear, we’ve got you covered. Here are Week 12’s projected studs, duds and sleepers.

Studs

QB Josh Allen – Buffalo Bills

Maybe the league is starting to figure out Josh Allen a bit. Perhaps his injured elbow is causing him to be less productive as the weeks go on. Or maybe he’s just in a slump that every player goes through once in a while. Whatever it is, I don’t believe, expect it to end against the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day.

RB Jonathan Taylor – Indianapolis Colts

Jonathan Taylor is back and the Steelers’ defense is tough to figure out. The guy you probably picked first in fantasy leagues could be in for a big one this weekend.

WR CeeDee Lamb – Dallas Cowboys

Dallas is really good. Dak is really good. CeeDee is really good. Together, the Cowboys will beat the Giants on Thanksgiving Day and Lamb will feast.

TE Mark Andrews – Baltimore Ravens

I think this is the week that Lamar Jackson and Mark Andrews get back on the same page. It shouldn’t be too difficult to do against Jacksonville.

Duds

QB Daniel Jones – New York Giants

The Cowboy’s defense is real and that’s a terrible sign for Daniel Jones and the Giants’ offense. Jones was picked off once by Dallas in Week 3, didn’t throw or run for any touchdowns and was sacked five times. In Dallas this Thursday, he might have another rough go at it.

RB Dalvin Cook – Minnesota Vikings

I’m not going to say Cook will be bad, but it’s hard for me to imagine him doing anything fantasy football relevant against this New England Patriots defense that’s only given up four rushing TDs on the season.

WR AJ Brown – Philadelphia Eagles

Green Bay’s pass defense is pretty good and the Hurts-Brown combo hasn’t been in sync recently. Brown’s got just 10 total catches over his last three games.

TE TJ Hockenson – Minnesota Vikings

The Patriots don’t give up much to opposing tight ends, so it’ll be interesting to see how Hockenson shakes loose against this tough New England secondary.

Sleepers

QB Justin Herbert – Los Angeles Chargers

It’s been a weird season for Herbert and the Chargers. The team has underperformed mostly due to injuries, but with Keenan Allen returning last week, Justin Herbert and the offense looked that much better. The Cardinals just let Jimmy Garoppolo throw our TDs on them. So, yeah. Consider Herbert a sleeper.

RB Josh Jacobs – Las Vegas Raiders

Guess who is sneakily third in the NFL in rushing yards? Yup, that would be Josh Jacobs of the Las Vegas Raiders. He has a good matchup this week against a Seattle defense that isn’t great at stopping the run.

WR Tee Higgins – Cincinnati Bengals

Will Ja’Marr Chase be back in Week 12 or won’t he? The good thing for those managers with Tee Higgins on the roster is that it probably doesn’t matter. Tee has proven he can provide fantasy value as both the WR1 and WR2.

TE George Kittle – San Francisco 49ers

So, is the old George Kittle back? With at least one TD in three of his last four games, it would appear that he is. It’s tough to know exactly what to expect every week since the Niners have so many offensive weapons. Still, there’s an upside here.
