Fantasy Football: Waiver-wire targets for Week 10

It was an exciting and interesting Week 9, where we saw some new names enter into our collective fantasy football minds. Injuries and breakout stars are going to send fantasy managers scrambling to waivers this week, and we can full you in on who to target before waivers clear.

1. Keaton Mitchell, RB, Baltimore Ravens

(Jessica Rapfogel-USA TODAY Sports)

That’s one way to show your explosiveness. With Baltimore dominating the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday they gave rookie Keaton Mitchell the opportunity to show what he can do, and he showed it off big time. With 138 yards and a touchdown on just nine carries on the day, it’s logical to think that Baltimore will be eager to get the rookie more carries. Mitchell has the highest upside in the group of backs, but is still likely locked in a timeshare, so don’t blow your whole budget on him if possible.

2. Quentin Johnston, WR, Los Angeles Chargers

(Jonathan Hui-USA TODAY Sports)

With both Joshua Palmer and Mike Williams on injured reserve Los Angeles will be placing a heavy target share on the shoulders of first round rookie Quentin Johnston. While he didn’t do much against the New York Jets Johnston is going to see better matchups in the future and is now the certified big play threat for Justin Herbert. Get him rostered before he explodes, he certainly has the talent to do so.

3. Noah Brown, WR, Houston Texans

(Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports)

Noah Brown has seen a major uptick in usage over the last two weeks, and during quarterback C.J. Stroud’s incredible game Brown became a huge piece of the offensive puzzle. With 153 yards and a touchdown on six catches, it’s likely that Brown will continue to be in the mix of an offense that is looking to air it our with their exciting new rookie. Brown is a boom or bust addition, but the upside is there.

4. Luke Musgrave, TE, Green Bay Packers

(Syndication: The Post-Crescent)

You constantly see the glimpses of talent that Luke Musgrave possesses whenever the ball is thrown his way. With one of the most dominant athletic profiles at the position and a seemingly clean transition to the NFL, Musgrave has become the secret weapon in this Green Bay offense. While the quarterback play ultimately limits him, when Musgrave gets the ball he has been one of the better fantasy producers at the position. Don’t be afraid to throw him in as your starting tight end.

5. Zach Charbonnet, RB, Seattle Seahawks

(Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports)

Even with Kenneth Walker III dominating at the position, rookie Zach Charbonnet continues to get relevant and reliable snaps in the rotation. With a quiet game in a blowout loss to the Ravens it might be the best time to add him to your roster if someone in your league dropped him. Charbonnet is going to continue to steal snaps from Walker and has shown to be a fantastic receiver out of the back field. Add Charbonnet as a must own handcuff and a potential flex starter in the future.
