Fantasy football waiver wire: Should you keep or cut these 6 players ahead of Week 11?

You’re waking up on Tuesday reading all that you can about the players that you should be picking up off the waiver wire as you prepare for Week 11 of fantasy football in 2022.

But it’s likely there aren’t as many things written about who you should be dropping to grab those players. That’s what this weekly column — keep ’em or dump ’em! — will hopefully answer for you: Some help in the debate over who you should keep or drop in order to improve your team.

It’s not the biggest of waiver wire weeks, but let’s dive in to help you with who to keep or drop:

1
WR Romeo Doubs, Green Bay Packers

The high-ankle sprain could mean he misses all the Packers’ games through their Week 14 bye. Couple that with Allen Lazard and Christian Watson taking over the receiving 1-2 punch, and I’d say it’s fine to drop him.

VERDICT: Drop him

2
RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Kansas City Chiefs

Normally, I’d say, “Well, you have to hang on to RBs in case of injury etc etc.”

But CEH didn’t get a single carry against the Jags. Isiah Pacheco and Jerick McKinnon were the main RBs for the Chiefs. Edwards-Helaire only touched the ball five times the week before.

You know what to do.

VERDICT: Drop him

3
TE Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints

The tight end position is bleak, but Hill is too inconsistent to roster at this point.

VERDICT: Drop him

4
RBs Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson, Los Angeles Rams

You have to assume Kyren Williams will get more playing time now that he’s back, and these two have been just awful.

VERDICT: Drop them

Backup QBs

This sort of depends on who your backup is, but in standard 1QB leagues and if your quarterback is done with his bye, you can drop guys like Jared Goff, Derk Carr and others to use that spot on a handcuff RB.

VERDICT: Drop them

6
WR Chase Claypool, Chicago Bears

Justin Fields is exploding, but Claypool might need more time to learn the playbook. If you have the room, you could hold on to him in the hopes that when he does, he carves out a bigger role.

Remember, however: The Bears like to run a lot.

VERDICT: Drop him
