The NFL preseason is in full swing, so we’re learning more and more about which players are moving up or down their respective team’s depth charts. It also means we can better project fantasy draft values and player rankings. With that said, here’s my updated look at every position as we inch closer to heavy draft season.
I’ve used a full-point PPR scoring system for these rankings, so you’ll see a noted increase in wide receivers in the overall top 200. In fact, I have Justin Jefferson as my consensus No. 1 overall pick. Fellow receivers Ja’Marr Chase and Cooper Kupp are also in the top five, so the position’s value as clearly increased.

At the quarterback position, I’ve moved Kenny Pickett and Jordan Love up due to positive preseason games and great training camp reviews. Pickett is my fantasy quarterback sleeper. I dropped Kyler Murray out of the top 20 quarterbacks due to his questionable status for the start of the season. Plus, losing fantasy superstar wideout DeAndre Hopkins won’t help his overall draft value.
Among the running backs, I moved Jonathan Taylor down a few spots and out of my first round. At this point, it’s anyone's guess when he’ll return to the Colts. Breece Hall and Rhamondre Stevenson also moved down after their teams added a veteran runner into the backfield mix. On a positive note, Jahmyr Gibbs has moved up. He’s getting a ton of positive reports in Lions camp, and the high stakes world has moved him into the high RB2 level based on recent ADP data.
At wide receiver, CeeDee Lamb is now in my top five, ahead of Stefon Diggs and Davante Adams. Drake London and Diontae Johnson have also moved up a few spots. The same goes for George Pickens and Jordan Addison. Skyy Moore made a big move upwards, moving into WR4 territory. On the flip side, his Chiefs teammate, Kadarius Toney, dropped down several spots at the position.
At tight end, Travis Kelce remains the unquestioned top option with Mark Andrews and T.J. Hockenson going No. 2 and 3 behind him. Darren Waller has moved into the fifth spot, behind George Kittle but ahead of Dallas Goedert. I’ve also positioned younger players like Dalton Kincaid, Sam LaPorta and Luke Musgrave into the TE2 area. They’re all well worth later-round selections in drafts.
