Fantasy football owners everywhere are furious they were convinced to play Keenan Allen

It was one of those decisions that fantasy football owners dread every year: in a playoff situation, do you take a risk with a star who’s clearly at less than 100 percent or do you kick yourself in hindsight if that normally productive player does what he always does?

In the case of Keenan Allen, many fantasy football owners decided to start the Los Angeles Chargers star on Thursday night against the Las Vegas Raiders. Reports before the game indicated that the receiver with hamstring injury would play, but that — per ESPN’s Adam Schefter — he’d be on “a rep count.”

And then there was this from Allen himself to FOX cameras before the game:

Oops. Allen saw just three targets and caught one of them for 17 yards. If you started him in your fantasy playoff game, sorry.

Here’s some reaction to that “don’t sit me”:

Yup. Fantasy football is pain.
