The New York Giants have had an absolutely abysmal start to the year, having been out-scored 63-31 combined in their first two games.
Fantasy wise, there have been nice performances by Big Blue despite the team looking the worst it has been in years. Opponents have also had a pair of field days against the Giants’ defense.
Let’s take a look at who might be a good start headed into Week 3.

Evan Engram, TE
Evan Engram has been spotty as he has dropped a lot of passes in the first few years of his career. However, he and the team’s quarterbacks have established quite the connection this summer.
With the Giants finding themselves depleted by injuries to their receivers, Engram has been a top target in the first two games of the season. Whether Sterling Shepard plays or not, expect Engram to keep getting balls thrown his way in Week 3.

Saquon Barkley, RB
Barkley has been nothing short of amazing so far and he will continue to be a workhorse back proving he was worth the No. 1 pick in everyone’s fantasy drafts.
Barkley is a obvious must start in all leagues unless you don’t like points. He is averaging a crazy 7.8 yards per carry and while he probably cant keep that up, it doesn’t mean he won’t still be great.
Tampa Bay has given up the second-fewest fantasy points to opposing running backs this season. However, last year against the Bucs, Barkley had one of his best games racking up over 150 total yards and three touchdowns.
Plus, at this point, Barkley has to be the focal point of the offense. Right?

Aldrick Rosas, K
Rosas had a rare miss in Week 2, but let’s not worry about that. Rosas was a model of consistency last season missing just one field goal all year on his way to being a Pro Bowl selection in 2018.
Rosas would be a good start in Week 3 given that the TB defense gives up the most points to kickers in ESPN standard leagues. Expect Rosas to get back on track this week following a rare miss just a week ago.

Mike Evans, WR
It’s always difficult to start a guys against your own team, but how could you not start the top receiver on any team against the Giants’ pass defense this season? Granted Mike Evans has caught just six balls this year through two games, but the targets have been there. He was targeted eight times in Week 1 and five times in Week 2.
What’s the best way for the two-time Pro Bowler to break out of his slump? How about the Giants pass defense, which has given up the fourth-most points to opposing wideouts this season.
Expect Jameis Winston to have a field day and target Evans early and often.

Jameis Winston, QB
Winston is only projected to be the 12th-highest scoring quarterback in Week 3 according to ESPN standard league projections, but let’s be honest — the Giants defense make it tempting to start any opposing player against them.
In fact, quarterbacks going against the Giants this year are averaging 27.8 points. With injuries to many of the QBs around the league (Ben Roethlisberger, Drew Brees, Sam Darnold, Nick Foles), some teams may be desperate and strike gold this week if they start Jameis Winston.
