The New York Giants will go on the road to Detroit to face off against the Lions in Week 8 following an ugly loss this past weekend against the Arizona Cardinals.
Both the Giants and Lions are looking to rebound off losses in Week 7. With some favorable matchups for your fantasy team, let’s take a look at some possible players to start in your fantasy lineup.

Saquon Barkley, RB
Saquon Barkley came back from an ankle injury last week and contributed with a over 75 total yards a touchdown. Barkley has yet to have a two-touchdown game this season. This could be the week Barkley achieves that. Detroit gives up the second most fantasy points to opposing running backs. Barkley may have eased his way back into action in week 7 against the Cardinals. I expect him to be better and stronger every week.

Golden Tate, WR
Sterling Shepard has had trouble staying on the field due to concussions and the Giants’ No. 1 receiver will miss this weekends matchup again. Following a tough passing performance in the rain last week against the Cardinals at home, a rebound game might be in the works for the Giants and in particular Golden Tate. The Lions give a pretty generous amount of points to opposing wide receivers (14th-most). Tate may also have a little bit of extra motivation going up against the team who traded him less than a year ago. The Lions gave up a lot of points last week against the Vikings and with the Giants offense on the road in the dome in Detroit, they could have a good day.

Ty Johnson, RB
The Giants struggled heavily against Cardinals backup running back Chase Edmonds last week. We could see a repeat this week as Lions top running back Kerryon Johnson has been placed on injured reserve and will miss significant time. Cue the heavy workload for Ty Johnson.
Johnson was a top waiver wire pickup in most leagues this week. When the Lions look back at the Giants struggles against the ground attack last week, they might look to keep it on the ground early in the game to set the tone of the game. With Kerryon Johnson out, Ty Johnson may be a sneaky good start on Sunday.

Kenny Golladay, WR
Golladay’s teammate Marvin Jones went off last week for four touchdowns. Don’t get too excited about Jones as he has been consistently boom or bust this year. Golladay is the better receiver and we all know the Giants have struggled against opposing receivers this year. Galloday has scored double digit points in four of six games this year. Golladay has been reliable this year and I would expect a rebound game from him this week.
