Fantasy Football: 2019 Top 10 WR Rankings

Wide receivers often get taken higher than I think they should in fantasy football drafts. Don’t get me wrong, a top wide receiver will help your team, but I recommend making sure you get them at a really good value before selecting one.

There is typically depth in the later rounds due to the number of players at the position and finding young wide receivers with upside is always something I look for. An elite set of pass catchers can put you over the top, but you need to have depth at other spots first.

Here is my Top 10 list for this season.

Top 10 WR’s for 2019:

1. Odell Beckham Jr. – Not everyone believes in him as the top wide receiver anymore, but I beg to differ — he will ball out in Cleveland.

2. DeAndre Hopkins – Great player but I could see a small step back this year based on how good he has been for a few years now.

3. Julio Jones – Yards, yards, yards. Jones racks up yards every single year, but the big question is: can he get more touchdowns in 2019?

4. Michael Thomas – Just got paid and with Drew Brees as his quarterback, he’s a no-doubt elite prospect.

5. Antonio Brown – He has something to prove to Pittsburgh and I could see him ending up as a Top 3 guy when it’s all said and done.

6. JuJu Smith-Schuster – Watch out for Smith-Shuster as he is now the No. 1 wide receiver option for the Steelers.

7. Tyreek Hill – Speed kills and he’s in the perfect offense. Top 4 potential no doubt.

8. Devante Adams – Solid, but I don’t think he can be Top 3 like most have him ranked this year.

9. Amari Cooper – In a contract year, with a good team, and I think he will end the season as a top-level WR1.

10. Mike Evans – Big, big plays, and in an offense that should maximize the potential he has always had to be a top-flight wide receiver.

Lions Players:

Kenny Golladay – Ironically, his average ranking is the same as his jersey number — No. 19 — but he’s more of a Top 15 type with tremendous upside for me.

Marvin Jones – For some reason, people are counting this guy out, likely because he had injuries last year, as he’s being ranked in the mid to upper 30’s in most fantasy wide receiver rankings — I have him in my top 25.

Danny Amendola – Won’t be drafted in most leagues, but I could see him being a Waiver Wire pick-up and a guy that might have some nice stat lines this year at times which could help you win that particular week.
