Bifern travels far and wide.
One of the best ways to develop as a person is through travel. Actress Anchasa Mongkhonsamai (Bifern), star of such popular shows as Gabdak Saneha (Charm Trap) and Parakij Likit Huajai (Mission of Love), spends her free time exploring the world. The petite actress started her adventures as a university student. And she hasn’t looked back since.
Over the years, she has visited such exotic destinations as Taiwan, India, Oman, Ireland, Iceland and Denmark. Inspired by her experiences, she started to write about her trips online at pantip.com, www.instagram.com/bifern, www.facebook.com/pg/b1voyage and https://bivoyages.com. Her pages feature stunning photos and interesting accounts of her experiences.
S Weekly met up with the 24-year-old actress at Channel One where she told us about her adventures.

What sort of activities do you like to do when you travel?
Bifern: I like nature, so I enjoy trekking. I like the feeling when I reach the top of a mountain. Friendships develop on a trek because you have to help one another. You feel closer. I also like road trips. I had a wonderful journey around Iceland with my friends.
Do you ever argue with your friends during a trip?
Bifern: Sometimes. When I go somewhere, I want to do everything because it might be my only visit. In Iceland, I was really keen on taking photos of the sunset and sunrise. In the Icelandic summer, the sun sets at around 11.00 pm and rises at 3 am. I was fine to sleep for only a couple of hours in order to get the photos. But some of my friends preferred to stay in bed. So, in the end, I had to let them sleep and pick them up later.
How did you become interested in photography?
Bifern: My first overseas trip was to the US. I didn’t have a camera so I took photos on my phone. I loved looking at the photos after the trip. It was like a time machine back to those special moments. I later decided to buy a camera so I could take better pictures.
Have you ever experienced culture shock?
Bifern: Not really. But the chaotic traffic in India surprised me. They can’t harm cows, so they swerve to avoid them on the road. Once I saw a car lightly bump a pedestrian. Everybody yelled at the driver and threw things at him.

What have you learned from travelling?
Bifern: I feel that every time I experience new things and overcome problems, I’m more mature. I am an only child. When I’m at home, I don’t have any responsibilities. But travelling presents a lot of challenges. I travelled in Ireland by myself for a few days after my friends returned to Thailand. Staying alone in an unfamiliar place changed my world. I didn’t do much research for these two days but I was fine.
Why did you decide not to do research?
Bifern: I wanted to surprise myself. Sometimes if you know too much about something before you go, it’s not so exciting when you actually see it. On my last day, I met a group of American teenagers who told me about Phoenix Park where you can see beautiful deer. They offered to take me there. I was impressed with their kindness.
What other places are on your bucket list?
Bifern: I have a long list, but my top three are New Zealand, Alaska and Canada. These countries have spectacular nature and interesting animals.
Why did you decide to write about your trips online?
Bifern: I wanted to share my experiences with others. A lot of people asked me about my adventures, so I decided to share them online. I got positive feedback from readers who followed every step of my trips and had fun.
