Fans are sending messages of support to Roshaun Mathurin, who has a knee injury that could keep him out of action for nine to 12 months.
The 17-year-old Tweeted on his social media that he tore his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) at the end of August, which will rule him out for up to a year.
The winger has been making good progress for Tottenham after starting in the Lilywhites U16s and making his way up to a successful last season for the U18s.
Mathurin made 27 appearances for the U16s and netted 14 goals in the 2019/20 season and also featured in three U18 games in the same campaign.
Last season was another strong one for the midfielder as he scored seven goals in his 21 U18 Premier League appearances.
His knee injury had to be operated on but he took to social media again on Tuesday to confirm that the surgery had been a success.
"Surgery went well today. Thanks to all the wonderful staff at the hospital. I will be back on the pitch soon #RM."
Tottenham fans have been very supportive of the youngster and wished him well in his recovery.
Borussia Dortmund U19 midfielder, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, was amongst the many comments for the Spurs teen.
He said, "Come back a beast bro you got this."
Others expressed their hope for the teenager, when he makes his return.

The support will show Mathurin that everyone at the north London club is hoping he has a speedy recovery and he will be keen to continue his recent success when he makes his return to action.
