It's hard to believe that it's been seven years since we eagerly waited to get our first glance of the future king.
To mark their eldest son's seventh birthday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have shared two new photos of the royal youngster, to the delight of fans across the UK.
The snaps, taken by Kate earlier this month, have racked up hundreds of comments and likes as fans rush to with George a happy birthday.
But many fans have also pointed out the striking resemblance between George and his dad Prince William.
One wrote: "My goodness, he looks just like his father! Happy birthday in advance young Prince George."
Another added: "Spitting image of Will!" with a shocked face emoji.
A third wrote: "Happy Birthday George You look exactly like your father."
A fourth commented: "Happy birthday George :) he looks so much like prince William."
Photos taken of Wills when he George's age to his son prove they are right, and the two royals look strikingly similiar.
But others made different comparisons.
One fan thought George looks just like his great-grandmother, writing: "He looks a lot like Queen Elizabeth in this pic! Wow!"
Another thought of Princess Diana's brother, commenting: "He resembles Uncle Charles Spencer!"
However one fan thought George looks more like Kate's dad Michael Middleton. She wrote: "Happy birthday George. You sure look like your Grandpa Middleton."
Kate and Wills shared the two photos on social media last night, and have posted a follow up thank you message this morning.
They captioned the original snap: "Sharing a photo taken by The Duchess ahead of Prince George’s seventh birthday tomorrow!"
Today, they added: "Thank you everyone for your very kind wishes on Prince George’s birthday today!" with cake and balloon emojis.
George, who is third-in-line to the throne, was born at 4.24pm on July 22, 2013, weighing a healthy 8lb 6oz.
In keeping with royal tradition, Kate and William posed on the steps of the Lindo Wing to introduce their son to the world before taking him home.
