Fans stunned by 8-year-old 'David Attenborough' who sleeps in a room with 50 tarantulas

Fearless 8-year-old Hollie stunned fans of This Morning as she revealed her love for all things creepy crawly.

Hollie Greenhalgh, who also goes by Princess Sophie Pink on YouTube, wowed fans with her calm handling of her Chilean tarantula Ruby on the show, one of 50 she sleeps with every night in her bedroom.

Hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford were in awe of Hollie's fearlessness as Ruby began to move across her hands, and were quick to ask if she was scared:

"No", said Hollie surprisingly, as her mum Rachel looked on cautiously, from the bedroom of their home in Cheshire.

Rachel later revealed she used to have a phobia of spiders until Hollie's interest for all things creepy crawly turned it into fascination.

Hollie went on to tell Eamonn and Ruth that she sleeps in the same room as her tarantulas, snakes, cockroaches, crickets and other insects.

Hollie then said it would one day be a dream of hers to meet fellow conservationist and animal lover David Attenborough, after revealing she set up her YouTube channel to show off the kinder side of creepy crawlies.

She then went on to show off Georgie, her python before Ruth asked if she'd ever been bitten by any of her snakes:

"Georgie has once bitten me... Lizzie has bitten me two times in a row.

"But you're more in shock than it hurts."

Shortly after Eamonn tipped her to follow in David Attenborough's footsteps: "Hollie, you are fascinating, we look forward to when you're the next David Attenborough, and I hope you play this clip when you're famous!"

Fans took to Twitter in awe of Hollie's fearlessness and dedication to her more unusual choice of pets:

"I reckon little 8yr Holly’s the next Steve Irwin!", said one.

Another Tweeted: "I'm glad my children don't want to keep snakes and spiders but the interview with Hollie was delightful."

A third added: "What a lovely, articulate little girl."

This Morning returns at 10am on ITV.
