Fans return to Tokyo Dome for 1st time this season

The Yomiuri Giants welcomed spectators to Tokyo Dome for the first time this season at an official home game against the Yokohama DeNA BayStars on Tuesday.

A crowd of 4,915 fans applauded loudly when the Giants topped the BayStars 4-2 due to strong pitching from their ace Tomoyuki Sugano and efforts of other players.

After taking measures against the new coronavirus, each team plans to hold an official game with the maximum number of 5,000 spectators before the end of August.
