If you thought Taylor Swift would be taking a well-earned break after the mammoth Eras Tour and The Life of a Showgirl, well, think again, because she just went ahead and teased a whole new album… at least according to some eagle-eyed fans.
Rumours of a new Swift project have begun circulating as fans pore over her new docuseries The End of an Era, which chronicles the pop star’s record-breaking tour over the course of almost two years.
While fans deservedly got swept up in all the revelations (including a cameo from Australia’s own Khanh Ong), there’s one moment in particular that caught the attention of Swiftie sleuths, and it’s within the very last moments of the docuseries.
“On October 3, 2025, Taylor released her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl,” a title card in the final scene read. “The biggest album of her career.” After a few moments, two more words appeared: “To date.”
Naturally, the dramatic reveal of “To Date” had scores of Swifties declaring that a new album is on the way, particularly given Swift’s knack for Easter eggs, hints and clues deserving of a Sherlock Holmes novel.
“TS13 coming for the crown,” one X user wrote in reference to what would be her 13th studio album. “She’s coming for new records,” a second fan wrote.
But before we get our cardigans in a twist, it’s worth mentioning that there has been no official confirmation that Swift is releasing a new album.
Beyond a cryptic title card, all we know for sure is that Swift has no plans to retreat from the spotlight anytime soon, because she said so herself.
“There’s also corners [of society] that are like, ‘Give someone else a turn. Can’t you just go away so we can talk about how good you were?’” Swift said recently on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
“I don’t want to,” she added. Go off, diva!
As for what else is on the horizon for Swift, the singer is preparing for what will be the wedding of the century after her engagement to NFL star Travis Kelce back in August.
If we’re lucky, we might just get an album coinciding with the wedding, which feels exactly like the kind of move Taylor would make.
But in the meantime, I guess we can just replay that title card a couple hundred more times in the hopes that it’ll manifest TS13.
