Fans are convinced that Taylor Swift has drafted up her bridesmaids list ahead of her wedding to Travis Kelce, after she was spotted at multiple outings with her famous gal pals.
The pop star announced her engagement with a world-altering social media post in September, and now it seems the wedding plans are moving full steam ahead, at least if her string of recent dinners are to be believed.
Within the course of a few days, Swift was spotted at three different dinners in New York City. She first dined with her collaborator and fellow musician Sabrina Carpenter, before hitting the town with Gigi Hadid in Manhattan. After that, Swift was again seen out with her close friend Ashely Avignone.
Naturally, the outings were taken by some fans as evidence Swift was assembling her group of bridesmaids. “Wait… are we really witnessing the bridesmaid dinners?” one user wrote on X, while another thought the “‘will you be my bridesmaid’ dinners are so Taylor”.
While the chatter remains purely speculative at this point, Swift’s choice of the trio would make sense given all their shared history. Carpenter has long been considered a protégé of Swift’s, and recently featured on the title track of her new album The Life of a Showgirl as well as opening for Swift on multiple dates during her Eras Tour.
Hadid, meanwhile, appeared in the music video for Swift’s track “Bad Blood” back in 2014, and the pair — who formed part of Swift’s famous girl squad — have been pretty much inseparable ever since.
For her part, Avignone, a New York City stylist and influencer, has been a member of Swift’s inner circle since 2008, when they first connected through mutual friend Emma Stone.
Though unconfirmed, rumours of Swift’s bridesmaids list add to a flurry of other details we’ve gotten since she announced her engagement to Kelce. From the rumoured wedding destination of Rhode Island to the possible wedding date and all the goss around the engagement ring, there’s been no shortage of tea spilled ahead of Swift’s big day.
Whether Carpenter, Hadid and Avignone will join her at the aisle remains to be seen, but we all know Swift’s wedding day will be a mammoth event regardless of the guest list.
