Fans react to Robbie Williams' new baby's name - as his wife hints it's the last one

Love was clearly in the air in the Williams household on Valentine's Day as showbiz favourites Robbie and Ayda Field welcomed the birth of their fourth child.

And as mum Ayda shared the happy news, thousands of fans were quick to offer their congratulations - and their views of the baby boy's very unusual name.

The newborn is called Beau Benedict Enthoven Williams and in a neat coincidence he arrived on the day which inspired his brother Charlton's middle name of Valentine.

And Enthoven happens to be the name of Robbie's late manager who acted as his mentor who mentored him after he left Take That.

Beau is the second of the couple's children born to a surrogate and it seems that he may also be their last as the Millennium star's actress wife remarked that they are now "complete as a family".

She broke the news of the birth on Instagram, first teasing her 564,000 followers with a photograph showing four pairs of feet - one pair clearly a baby's - and inviting them to "spot the difference".

Ayda said in Friday's post: "On this Valentine's Day we would like to celebrate love in the most awesome way, Beau Benedict Enthoven Williams."

She and Robbie, whose hits include Let Love Be Your Energy and the apt Be a Boy, married in 2010.

Their other children are Theodora Rose who is seven years old; Charlton Valentine, aged five, and Colette Josephine, known as Coco, who is 17 months old.

Ayda has previously spoken about the couple's struggles to conceive, when she revealed that her youngest daughter was born to a surrogate.

In her post about Beau on Friday she added: "As with Coco, he is biologically ours, but born via our same incredible surrogate."

Most popular baby names in the world

And she ended her message by saying: "We are so blessed to have our healthy son safely in our arms and are officially complete as a family."

Reaction to the name on social media included a response from a Lindsey Trevitt who said on Twitter: "My eldest son is called Beau. Good choice Robbie and Ayda!" while Rhiannon Smith tweeted that the name "Means handsome one".

But Paul Metcalfe wrote: "Why do celebrities feel the need to give their children such ridiculous names" while there was lots of surprise too from people who had not known a baby was on the way.

Caris Bagge-Fincas thought "Enthoven is unusual but has a family connection"  while another Twitter user, Susan, remarked: "Nice that David Enthoven was remembered" in an apparent reference to Williams' former manager who died in 2016.

Another name suggestion for Beau which the Williams had missed out on came in a tweet which said: "His middle name should have been Jangles!"
