Fans react to Manchester United's starting line-up vs Young Boys as Rangnick rings the changes

Interim manager Ralf Rangnick has named his starting line-up for this evening's UEFA Champions League clash against Young Boys at Old Trafford, making wholesale changes.

United, who have already secured their place in the last-16, will be looking to build on Sunday's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace at Old Trafford, which signalled a winning start to life under Rangnick.

The German, who will be looking to lead United to a second consecutive Champions League win this evening, has opted to make 11 changes to the side that got the better of Palace, which has not come as no great surprise, given that the Reds have already secured their spot in the knockout stages of the competition.

Amongst those to have come into the side are Dean Henderson, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw, Donny van de Beek and youngsters Amad and Anthony Elanga.

Rangnick will be hoping that his decision to ring the changes and award opportunities to those who have not been playing as often as they would have liked, plus naming several youngsters on the bench, will not backfire and cost United from getting more confidence under their belt.

United head into tonight's game unbeaten in their last four matches, meaning a fifth successive game without defeat would stand them in good stead as the busy Christmas period moves ever closer.

It is Rangnick's decision to include both Amad and Elanga in the starting line-up that has attracted the most attention from the United supporters on social media in the immediate aftermath of the starting line-up being confirmed, with them excited to see what the youngsters, who are very highly-rated by those inside Old Trafford, can bring to the table.

Below MEN Sport has taken a close look at what some United supporters have had to say in response to the decision.

As you can see from the messages displayed above, Rangnick's decision to include Elanga and Amad in the line-up, plus several other fringe players, has gone down a treat with the supporters, with them genuinely excited to see what happens.

United starting line-up: Henderson; Wan-Bissaka, Bailly, Matic, Shaw; Van de Beek, Mata; Amad, Lingard; Greenwood, Elanga.

Substitutes: Heaton, Kovar, Hardley, Mengi, Iqbal, Savage, Shoretire.
