Fans react to Manchester United's starting line-up vs West Ham

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named his starting line-up for this afternoon's tussle with West Ham United at the London Stadium, with Raphael Varane, Scott McTominay and Mason Greenwood returning to the side.

United, who won their last visit to the London Stadium 3-1, will be looking to get back to winning ways after Tuesday evening's shock UEFA Champions League defeat at the hands of Young Boys in Switzerland.

Solskjaer, who has watched his side win their last two outings in the Premier League, beating both Wolverhampton Wanderers and Newcastle United, has opted to make three changes to the side that was beaten in midweek.

Varane, McTominay and Greenwood have come into the side, with Victor Lindelof, Donny van de Beek and Jadon Sancho, who were both taken off against Young Boys, dropping out.

As has become the trend so far this season, United look set to deploy a 4-2-3-1 system against the Hammers, meaning Solskjaer will be looking for similar results to what they have enjoyed so far this season against David Moyes' side, who are also still unbeaten in the league so far this term.

Unsurprisingly, it is Solskjaer's decision to name both McTominay and fellow defensive-midfielder Fred in the starting line-up that has attracted the most attention from the supporters in the immediate aftermath of the starting line-up for this afternoon's contest being announced. Their inclusions mean that Paul Pogba is set to be deployed on the left flank, with Cristiano Ronaldo leading the attack.

Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look at what some United supporters have had to say on social media in response to the decision.

As you can see from the comments displayed above, Fred retaining his place in the side has attracted plenty of attention, with the Brazilian coming in for no shortage of criticism in recent weeks, despite performing well against Young Boys.
