Fans react as soap stars share photos of their families sledging during lockdown

Soap stars have been sharing photos and videos as they enjoyed some snowy fun with their families.

Coronation Street star Alan Halsall and Emmerdale's Charley Webb posted snaps of themselves sledging with their children.

Alan, 38, who plays Tyrone Dobbs in the soap, was all smiles as he captured memories of time with his daughter Sienna, seven, in Rivington, Chorley.

"Non stop laughing," the doting dad wrote as he posted a video of his little girl giggling in delight on her sledge on his Instagram.

Co-star Julia Goulding who plays Shona Platt in Corrie, told him: "These are adorable! fun snow times."

"Looked like you all had great fun!" said another follower.

"Beautiful times beautiful memories. All the best to you Alan," wrote another fan.

Another commented: "Times like this are priceless.. enjoy every minute."

And another said: "Looks like u had a fab time. Family... That's wot it's all about."

Charley, 32, who plays Debbie Dingle in Emmerdale, went sledging with her husband Matthew Wolfenden, who plays David Metcalfe in the show, and their sons Buster, 10, Bowie, five, and 18-month-old Ace.

She wrote about the trip: "Same parents, different kids. "Buster really feels the cold, snow is his worse nightmare. Bowie absolutely loves it, living his best lockdown life.

"Not sure what Ace thought yet but he’s definitely soaking it all up."

Most followers approved, with one saying: "When I first saw this I really thought you were on a skiing holiday, jealous of that snow!!"

"Oh my looks like the alps," gasped another.

But her post raised eyebrows among some.

"This ain’t exercising, Beware of the plod," warned one.

And another follower said she wasn't 'setting a good example' during lockdown.

People can leave the house under the current lockdown restrictions to exercise - but not for the purpose of recreation or leisure.

Exercise, with one other person or with your household or support bubble, should be limited to once per day and people should not travel outside their local area.

"Lovely family photo but not really setting a good example of staying in during these turbulent times #lockdown2021," they commented.
