Sinead O’Connor shared a rare picture of one of her sons yesterday and fans went wild.
The singer, who now goes by the name, Shuhada Sadaqat received her second Coid vaccination and her 17-year-old son Shane accompanied her to the appointment.
Writing on Twitter she said: “2nd Vaccine today My lovely 17 yr old son coming with me : ) Behold Nevi'im Nesta Ali Shane O'Connor #Gentleman”
And fans were quick to pick up on his resemblance to his famous mother.
Rachel Walsh commented: “Well there'll never be any question of his parentage, he's the image of you. “
Another Twitter user called Stella said: “Looks like you have clicked ‚copy and paste’ button when you had your son. “
A fan going by the username EnMná was extremely complimentary saying: ”Damn those are some good genes he inherited there! What a stunner!”
Meanwhile Ambrose Heaney decided to test his wife showing her the picture without telling her who it was and he posted: “I've just shown my wife the picture and who did it look like. Sinéad O'Connor she immediately said.”
Colum McCann was equally impressed with the resemblance. He said: “You didn’t need to tell us he’s your son. As the Paddy’s would say 'he’s the cut of ya' Cool dude.”
Sharon Donoghue echoed his sentiments commenting: “Spit out of your mouth! Very handsome young man! Best of luck today.”
While Lauren Seeley couldn’t hide her amazement posting: “Omg mini you! I got one of those too and he just got his first shot. Handsome dude!”
Many commented on the difficulty Sinead would have keeping potential suitors away from him. Marissa Martinez said: “Such a good looking young man. You're going to have a hard time keeping the girls away.”
This led Sinead to acknowledge that this is already the case when she responded: “Already do! I need a taser”
And Carmen Martin Llamas attempted to use Sinead’s post to do a little matchmaking cheekily posting: “Great Sinead ! YOUR SON IS VERY GOOD LOOKING, tell him I have a 16 year old daughter half Irish half Spanish ...!!!”
Shane is the singer’s third child and his father is music musician Donal Lunny.
Sinead is also mum to son, Jake, with her first husband John Reynolds, daughter Roisin with Irish journalist John Waters and Yeshua Francis Neil Bonadio with Frank Bonadio.
