Fans of Netflix’s reality show Selling Sunset are all asking the same question upon seeing the show’s latest season.
Selling Sunset showcases the glamorous life of real estate agents in Los Angeles. Highs for them include selling homes to rich and famous clients, while lows see cutthroat agents fighting over said clients.
Irish fans were stunned during the week as star from the show, Mary Fitzgerald, made a detour in Dublin and asked for recommendations of places to visit.
However, many have taken to social media to ask the same question while watching season four, which came out in late November.
“The amount of Googling I’ve done in the last week for US estate agency and mortgage terminology…” one fan wrote on Twitter.
Another said: “4 seasons of selling sunset later and I still don’t know what escrow means.”

Well, it turns out escrow is a term used within the real estate industry.
An escrow essentially is a contractual agreement in which a third party holds a large sum of money or property temporarily until a particular condition has been met.
In real estate, it is used to protect both the buyer and seller throughout the process of buying a property.
Some Twitter users tried to help others understand the concept, with one explaining what “falling out of escrow” means.
“Falling out of escrow is something went wrong with the purchase of the house. Basically, the sale is void. Could be the financing fell through or the buyer just changed their mind,” they said.
