Fans of TV show Friday Night Dinner are celebrating the bravery of star Paul Ritter.
The 54-year-old died of a brain tumour last month.
Even though he was poorly he made his final TV appearance in a documentary celebrating 10 years of the show, Birmingham Live reports.
In Friday Night Dinner: 10 Years and a Lovely Bit of Squirrel on Channel 4, Paul paid tribute to his character Martin Goodman.
He said: "People like Martin, there’s something about him that reminds them of their half-dressed dad, possibly with a hanky over his head and Eric Morcambe specs. I think he’s immune to hygiene!"
He added: "I've loved playing him [Martin].
"I've loved all of the extraordinary scenes we do. There are some episode of Friday Night Dinner that go full tilt into farce.
"I'm always delighted that Martin is somewhat the motor for that."
Fans applauded his courage to take part in the show despite being so poorly.
