Fans make the same jokes as Crystal Palace defender Mamadou Sakho is sent off on Amazon Prime

Crystal Palace defender Mamadou Sakho picked up a red card in the clash against Bournemouth on Tuesday night.

The game at Selhurst Park was officially the first to be streamed live on Amazon Prime TV in the UK.

And while Palace fans were hoping to light up the internet with a strong display, Sakho was given a straight red card in the first half.

The defender went to clear the ball up field with 20 minutes gone, but caught Adam Smith high on the knee with a follow-through.

The 29-year-old was stunned by the decision by referee Anthony Taylor, which was backed up by VAR.

Palace fans were left fuming at both the defender for his rash tackle and Taylor for what they deemed a harsh red card. The decision will deal a huge blow to Palace in the short-term, with Scott Dann and Gary Cahill both out through injury.

With the match being streamed live by the internet shopping giant, there was only one joke to go for after the red card - and the internet delivered...
