Fans make Bruno Fernandes demand to Sporting amid Manchester United transfer saga

Manchester United fans have been pleading with Sporting to let their captain Bruno Fernandes join the club.

United are hoping to add reinforcements to their injury depleted squad in the January transfer window and have targeted Fernandes following the losses of Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba.

The 25-year-old has a staggering record of 79 goal contributions - 47 strikes and 32 assists - over his last 80 games for the Lisbon club, stretching to the start of last season.

He has the creativity that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has lacking in his side, however, MEN Sport understands that United and Sporting are well apart on their valuations of Fernandes, with the club being left baffled by the price increase.

United have until 11pm on Friday when the transfer window shuts to complete a deal or face the prospect of playing the rest of the season without any new additions.

Fernandes is in action again on Monday night as Sporting take on Martitimo in what is the last game Sporting have before deadline day.

United supporters are desperate to see the Portuguese international arrive at Old Trafford and some have resorted to pleading with Sporting to get the deal done.
