President Donald Trump wasn’t at Nationals Park on Wednesday night, but that did little to change the harsh reception fans had for him at the Game 7 watch party.
During Trump’s Sunday visit to Game 5 of the World Series, a salute-to-service segment on the videoboard featured Trump and resulted in loud boos from the packed crowd. Fast forward to Wednesday’s Game 7 of the World Series, and Nationals fans were still ready to boo the president.
As a Trump campaign ad aired during the Game 7 telecast, the fans watching at a rainy National Park responded once again with loud boos. Videos hit Twitter showing a similar — albeit much smaller crowd — scene to what Trump witnessed firsthand on Sunday.
There did not appear to be a “lock him up” chant this time, though.
