Fans have noticed what happened to Dani Ceballos during Arsenal’s goal celebration

Arsenal picked up the first three points of the season in their opening Premier League game of the campaign.

The Gunners travelled to St James' Park to take on Newcastle United, who were playing their first game under the management of Steve Bruce.

After a goalless first half in the rainy conditions, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang struck the only goal of the game in the 58th minute to ensure that the three points would go back with Unai Emery's men to the Emirates Stadium. The goal was the striker's 33rd in 50 Premier League appearances since he joined the club in January 2018.

As with any winning goal, Aubameyang's strike was met with jubilant celebrations, both in the away end and on the pitch. The Gabon international pulled off his trademark front flip before being mobbed by teammates.

But there was one of the new arrivals who got more than he expected during the celebrations.

Midfielder Dani Ceballos was a second half substitute during the game, but was not yet on the pitch as Aubameyang scored. The Spaniard ran over and joined the players surrounding the goalscorer.

However, a video of the celebration shows Ceballos being accidentally caught in the face by the onrushing Ainsley Maitland-Niles as the winger participated in the huddle around Aubameyang.

And the amusing incident didn't go unnoticed by fans.

Ceballos will have the chance to make his home debut when Arsenal take on Burnley at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, although the midfielder may choose to take a step back during goal future celebrations.
