Fans get first glimpse of Barry Keoghan as the Joker as The Batman bosses release deleted scene

Barry Keoghan has made his debut as the Joker in a brand-new deleted scene from The Batman.

The scene, which was released yesterday and runs for over five minutes, shows Keoghan's Joker being visited in Arkham Asyum by Robert Pattinson's Batman.

Keoghan also featured at the end of The Batman, albeit unseen, in a short scene with Paul Dano's The Riddler.

But rumours suggested that Keoghan had another, more substantial scene in the film which was cut.

Director Matt Reeves has now shown that scene off, tweeting "who gets the last laugh...?" with a link to a website rataalada.com, where fans had to solve three riddles in order to get access to the scene.

The scene has since been uploaded in its entirety to Youtube.

Fans have taken to Twitter to give their opinion on Keoghan's take on The Joker.

One person tweeted: "They should have let Barry Keoghan be Irish playing The Joker. It's time for a Dub Joker, the world is ready."

Another wrote: " 2 minutes of Barry Keoghan's joker and he's already better than Jared Leto's joker."

A third commented commented: "Barry Keoghan’s Joker looks nasty, horrific, & grotesque. It’s as if he was suffering from some kind of skin eating disease on top of being thrown into a vat of chemicals. It’s an interesting take on the iconic Clown Prince of Crime."

And a fourth can't wait to see more of the Dubliner as the Joker, tweeting: "Heads will roll. Barry Keoghan did THAT. I can't wait to see more of Barry's joker."
