Fans gather outside Anfield to pay respects to Diogo Jota after tragic car crash

  • Devastated Liverpool fans have left flowers and tributes outside Anfield stadium, where the club crest flag is flying at half-mast in honour of Liverpool FC forward Diogo Jota.
  • The 28-year-old and his 26-year-old brother Andre died in a car crash in Spain on Thursday, 3 July.
  • Liverpool FC expressed its devastation over the "unimaginable loss" of Jota, requesting privacy for his loved ones and teammates.
  • Jota's death occurred just two weeks after he married his long-term girlfriend Rute Cardoso in Porto.
