Fans furious with Gary Lineker and Rio Ferdinand after Liverpool's Champions League defeat to Barcelona

Liverpool fans were furious with Gary Lineker and Rio Ferdinand after the pair were captured jumping for joy after Lionel Messi made it 3-0 to Barcelona on Wednesday night.

The Argentinian superstar scored a superb freekick in the Champions League semi-final showdown at the Camp Nou to wrap up victory for the Catalans.

It was a special strike and the maestro's 600th goal for the La Liga giants, 14 years to the day he scored his first.

But Reds supporters were unhappy with the BT Sport duo's reaction to the moment.

And the clip has already amassed over one million views across various social media channels.
