Fans furious at Jermaine Jenas for his commentary during Man City vs Tottenham Hotspur

Manchester City missed the chance to take the lead in their Champions League quarter-final first leg with Spurs as Sergio Aguero saw his penalty saved.

Referee Bjorn Kuipers used VAR to award City the 13th minute penalty kick after Danny Rose was adjudged to have handled the ball in the area.

Hugo Lloris made a flying save to keep out Aguero's spot kick but it was the commentary from former Spurs midfielder Jermaine Jenas that left fans even more angry.

Jenas was on co-commentary duty for BT Sport at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and he made clear that he thought it was the wrong decision to award the penalty.

Jenas commented: "Your arms are a part of your body, you can’t just chop them off’," as he disagreed with the call by Kuipers.

Fans of Man City and social media users were quick to tweet their displeasure at Jenas' commentary as a whole with many believing he should be wearing a white shirt.
