Fans were left furious after Dennis Hogan controversially lost to Jaime Munguia in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The Irishman put in a brilliant performance against the undefeated Mexican and many thought he at the very least deserved a draw.
But the judges saw it differently, scoring the fight 115-113, 116-112 and 114-114, meaning Munguia won by majority decision.
Among those to take issue with the result was former WBO welterweight champion Jeff Horn.
He tweeted: "I am extremely proud of Dennis Hogan. What a performance in enemy territory! Best case for Munguia is 6 rounds each. I believe it was at minimal a draw. REMATCH!"
And many others echoed thw Aussie's comments, including actor Allen Leech:
