Fans flock to meet former One Direction star Louis Tomlinson at Ocean Terminal HMV store

Louis Tomlinson met scores of fans and signed stacks of albums during a special guest appearance at the HMV store in Edinburgh's Ocean Terminal.

The album signing took place at the shop on Sunday afternoon, and was organised to mark the release of the former One Direction star's new album Walls.

A huge queue formed around the store as people arrived to catch a glimpse of the pop superstar.

HMV Edinburgh provided updates on the album signing event throughout the afternoon, sharing pictures of some happy customers with their signed records.

They added that the singer "very generously signed some extra albums for us" before he left, and these are available in store while stocks last.

Tomlinson rose to fame as a member of One Direction in the 2010 series of The X Factor. Since 2016 he has been working on his solo career, with Walls his first full studio album.

Edinburgh Live reported last month how the HMV store at the Ocean Terminal would be remaining open after an agreement was reached with the landlord. The shop had previously been earmarked closure, with an "everything must go" sale even running.
