Fans dub Rakhi Sawant 'national crush' after she calls Kangana Ranaut 'Desh ki gaddar'

Rakhi Sawant recently slammed Kangana Ranaut’s ‘India got freedom in 2014’ controversy and called her a traitor in her Instagram post.

Taking to her picture-sharing app, Rakhi shared a video of the ‘Queen’ actress where she is seen talking at some event on a microphone. The video’s sound, however, was changed to a dog’s bark. Along with the video, Rakhi wrote, ‘Desh ki Gaddar hai didi’

As soon as she posted the video on Instagram, comments started pouring in from all sides. Fans hailed Rakhi Sawant for coming out strongly against Kangana’s comments on India’s independence. While some dubbed her ‘national crush’, others wrote, ‘Respect for you Rakhi’.

At an event, Kangana said the Independence India had won in 1947 was bheek and that the country truly became free in 2014, a reference to the BJP coming to power at the centre under Narendra Modi. After this, many celebrities and politicians have come out and condemned her comments. Amidst this, Kangana had reportedly said that she will return her Padma Shri award if anyone can prove that she has disrespected martyrs and freedom fighters.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Kangana was last seen in ‘Thalaivi’ where she essayed the role of late politician-turned-actor J Jayalalithaa. The movie received positive reviews from the audience and the critics alike.

Next, she has a very interesting line-up of films ahead of her that includes ‘Dhaakad’, ‘Tejas’ and ‘Sita: The Incarnation’.
