Some rugby fans are furious that Johnny Sexton has not been included in the Lions squad to tour South Africa this summer, but others can understand why he wasn't.
The Ireland captain was a notable absentee from the 37-man panel named by Warren Gatland on Thursday afternoon.
Sexton was integral to the success of the last two Lions tours, but hasn't played since coming off against Exeter Chiefs having suffered his third head injury since February and turns 36 in July.
He has started the last five of six Lions Tests, but will not be involved this time.
Former Ireland star Luke Fitzgerald said: "No Sexton is crazy."
One fan tweeted: "Sexton has been the standout player from Ireland and Britain this year."
Another added: "How they’ve excluded Sexton and Ringrose I’ll never understand."

Someone else commented: "Devastated for Johnny Sexton missing out on the Lions Tour. Possibly this was his last chance saloon."
One other tweet read: "I thought Sexton would go because of experience."
But others agreed with the decision not to include the Leinster man in the squad.
One person said: "No Sexton is, for me, the right decision unfortunately. It's not even necessarily about form - he's actually been good when fit recently. The problem is that 'when fit' bit - with a limited squad you can't pick someone who's as injury-prone (and indeed currently injured) as he is."
Another commented: "Can understand why Sexton didn’t make it due to injuries since the Six Nations."
Someone else added: "Sexton has had too many head injuries lately. Much as I think he's a big loss, his health takes precedence."
