Ant and Dec have poked fun at Gary Barlow in a post that has now led to fans begging for a shock music collaboration between the Geordie duo and Take That star.
It all stemmed from a tweet Gary posted, which read: "I’m not sure about this ‘mic drop’ phrase - I have a beautiful collection of mics, old, new, rare and unique. They’re simply not to be dropped. Like, ever !Anyone caught dropping my mic will be in serious s**t."
His tweet prompted a big reaction, with many responses, including a cheeky one from Ant and Dec, with the duo formerly known as PJ & Duncan writing: "How do you feel if someone was to ‘wreck the mic’ Asking for a friend (PJ) Cheers, Duncan."
Their tweet, which of course referenced famous chart hit Let's Get Ready to Rhumble, sparked something of a frenzy, with followers calling on the Saturday Night Takeaway presenters to join forces with Gary for his daily Crooner Sessions on Facebook Live.
One reacted: "Erm...... #croonersessions please make this happen!!!!! That would make me mega smile!!" and in firm agreement, another tweeted: "Now that's a collaboration more than worth a watch! C'mon lads, bring on the rumble.
A third posted: "I feel a much needed lock down PJ and Duncan live song is what the public need. @GaryBarlow is certainly keeping everyone’s spirits high and it’s what everyone looks forward to on a daily basis," while another fan wrote: "I've got everything crossed for this collaboration, wrecking mics included!"
