Fans delighted as The 1975 release behind the scene snaps of TRNSMT including Lewis Capaldi

The 1975 have released behind-the-scene images of the band preparing to go on stage at last weekend's TRNSMT festival.

The three festival - held at Glasgow Green - saw the likes of Mimi Webb, Aitch, Kasabian, Joesef, The View and The 1975 perform on stage. Now, headliners The 1975 have posted some never before seen images of their time at the festival, with one unexpected guest, Scots star Lewis Capaldi laughing alongside them.

Their official Facebook page posted the snaps, simply captioned: "TRNSMT. Glasgow, Scotland. July 9th 2023" alongside some professional-looking shots.

Fans were delighted at the backstage insight, with many flocking to the comments.

Louise Robertson wrote: "Loved, loved, LOVED it, What a show, and was absolutely thrilled I got to witness 'Love Me' live. Want to do it all over again. I HAVE to get tickets for Glasgow for next year."

And Suzi Underwood added: "Lovely to see Lewis smiling… They are really good friends and it's lovely to see they still have time supporting him through his tough time. Well done boys xxx"

Pauline Revie chimed: "We loved loved loved it, yous are defo at your very best, I was literally crying with joy at seeing you live. I’m praying I get tickets for Glasgow"

With Nicole Young questioning: "How is Lewis doing? I have been thinking about him lately."

It comes as The 1975 brought TRNSMT to an unconventional close on Sunday night, with frontman Matty Healy arriving in a red wheelie bin.

Wheeling Healy onto the stage in Glasgow Green dressed in doctors’ coats and glasses, the band kicked off their set with Looking For Somebody (To Love).

Healy revealed amid the set that Lewis Capaldi was watching the set from backstage, after the star received a welcome tribute from Niall Horan during his set on Friday.

“Our good friend Lewis Capaldi is joining us this evening. He’s watching backstage,” said Healy.
